Welcome to Autoliv in Vårgårda.

We strive to save more lives and prevent serious injuries. Our mission is to provide World Class, Life-Saving Solutions for Mobility and Society. 

The company was founded in Vårgårda by Lennart Lindblad in 1953 and this is where the company’s first seatbelt, a two-point static belt, was developed. 

Today, Autoliv in Vårgårda employs around 400 employees and we work with development of safety products such as seat belts, airbags, and gas generators. In Vårgårda, we have a small-scale production and manufacture gas generators and special products. Further, ALS is appointed as one of Autoliv’s Global Innovation Centers. The Global Innovation Center focuses on product development, both existing products and creating new ones.
