Lead System & Electronics Engineer – Wearable Airbag ECU
MISSION
Own the system and electronics engineering of a wearable airbag vest ECU, from architecture definition through industrialization and manufacturing release.
The role combines system engineering ownership and electronics design leadership for an existing product platform that will evolve across multiple generations, with increased functionality, connectivity, and performance.
The objective is to deliver safe, robust, manufacturable, and evolvable ECU solutions that meet functional, safety, cost, quality, and planning requirements for a critical safety application.
The role acts as the technical reference, working closely with the Project Manager, hardware and software teams, industrialization, suppliers, and validation teams. In addition, the System lead will be the main technical contact for the Product teams and will work on the integration with them. The team is located in France & Sweden mainly. Travel to France, China, US & other countries is expected regularly (Several times a year)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure alignment with functional safety and quality processes
Lead or contribute to risk and safety analyses (DFMEA, PFMEA, hazard analysis)
Ensure full traceability from requirements to verification and validation
Requirements & Documentation
Define and approve system requirements, product specifications, and interface specifications
Ensure consistency of system documentation (item definition, architecture, interfaces)
Manage change impact analysis across variants and generations
Maintain the design definition file for prototype and series production
Connectivity, FOTA & Lifecycle (ECU Scope)
Define ECU‑side architecture for secure connectivity and cloud interaction
Own the FOTA strategy (architecture, safety, rollback, validation)
Ensure long‑term maintainability and field robustness
(Mobile app and cloud development are out of scope; ECU interfaces are in scope.)
Prototyping & Industrialization
Define prototype needs and lead technical validation
Support or lead Design for Manufacturing and Test (DFM/DFT)
