For our Sales team in Vårgårda, Sweden, we are now looking for a Sales Manager for the Volvo Business Unit within the product area’s Airbags and Steering Wheels.
About the role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall customer relationship and management of Autoliv’s business development in terms of order intake, profitability, quality and customer satisfaction. You will be representing Autoliv in front of the customer and representing the customer’s interests inside Autoliv, with Autoliv’s best interest in consideration, and maintain Business Unit (BU) ownership from quote of business through project phase, production and end of service of our products.
You will act as the primary customer/Autoliv interface for any customer related enquiries (internal and external), for example: Request For Quotation (RFQ) Management, technical changes, etc.
You will lead profitable growth initiatives and be responsible for quotations by taking lead in the RFQ / PSC process together with the BU Team and other Autoliv supporting functions and drive the RFQ / PSC process internally and towards the customer.
You will proactively identify and take lead on customer business opportunities, and customer’s long-term drivers, by developing and aligning strategic activities (profitable growth, technology development, sustainability) together with the BU Management and BU team (Manager Advance Technical Sales, Customer Engineering Manager, Customer Program Manager, Customer Quality Manager), as well as facilitate alignment of customer’s future technical and commercial needs and Autoliv’s product roadmap together with ATS.
You will also support Autoliv plants and other Autoliv units at customer visits and support Marketing/Tech events at the customer and at Autoliv to promote Autoliv’s capabilities together with ATS and other Autoliv teams.
About you
We are looking for a person who is customer focused and result oriented, has good negotiation skills, good communication skills and is a global team player. Preferably with higher education level (Master- or Bachelor) in Engineering.
If you have experience from Sales/customer interface roles or other related fields, such as product/design, project management, engineering, operations, quality, APS, purchasing, etc., it is an advantage.
Our communication is mainly in English, so you should be fluent in English, speaking and writing. Swedish is desirable.

In Sweden, we have the company's Global Innovation Center, located in Vårgårda. Our focus is on developing new and existing products, both in our core areas such as airbags and seat belts but also in the area of Mobility Safety Solutions. We have unique test and prototype facilities. In Vårgårda, we also manufacture inflators and special products such as hood lifters and child seats. In total we have approx. 400 employees.
